MIDDLESEX CRICKET TO HOLD PRIDE T20 AGAINST ESSEX TOMORROW

Tomorrow night will see Middlesex Cricket host our annual Rainbow Laces fixture as we take on Essex in the Vitality Blast at Lord’s.

Middlesex Cricket has been proud to support Stonewall’s Rainbow Laces campaign for a number of years now, celebrating the LGBTQ+ community during pride month.

Since Rainbow Laces kicked off in 2013, over a million of you have laced up in support of LGBTQ+ inclusion in sport, fitness and physical activity. But this must-win game isn’t over yet.

Stonewall’s vision today is the same as it was at the start; a world where LGBTQ+ people feel welcome and safe to watch and participate in sport and fitness - at all levels. That’s why their key message this year is: Lace up and make sport safer for all.

The match tomorrow night will see our players wear rainbow laces, showing their collective support for the LGBTQ+ community.

In addition to players wearing rainbow laces, a pride flag will be flying above the Middlesex dressing room in the pavilion and the guard of honour will be waving pride flags as the players enter the field of play prior to the match.

Today, we are delighted to be able to welcome members from Graces Cricket Club – London’s first LGBTQ+-friendly cricket club and trailblazers in creating an inclusive and welcoming environment – to observe the men’s squad train at Lord’s.

If you haven’t got your tickets for tomorrow night’s match, you can purchase them HERE.
